Blue Garden House

Blue Garden House
Blue Garden House is located on the blue waters of Placencia lagoon within easy walking distance to Placencia Village and its attractions - restaurants, shops, cafes, and beach bars. The famous Placencia beach, with its mile long stretch of white sand where you can lounge under a coconut tree or go for a long swim in the warm Caribbean sea, is only five minutes’ walk away. It offers the perfect combination of secluded privacy and easy access to the busy beachfront.

Built in traditional Caribbean style and designed by renowned eco-architect Hitesh Mehta (whose award winning projects include some of the top ecolodges in the world), Blue Garden House is made from hardwoods and sits on a quiet marina surrounded by a lush garden of fruit trees and flowers, with its own private dock. From its two balconies overlooking the water, you can see spectacular sunsets across Placencia Lagoon and the jungle covered Maya Mountains in the distance.

Built in 2003, Blue Garden House is the vacation home of Costas and Sally Christ, who have traveled all over the world. Costas is a travel columnist with National Geographic Adventure magazine and Sally runs Tamu Safaris (www.tamusafaris.com), a tour company that specializes in organizing customized trips throughout Belize and wildlife safaris to the continent of Africa. They rent Blue Garden House to visitors so they too can enjoy this special place amid the tropical beauty of Placencia. If you have ever dreamed of spending time in a traditional Caribbean waterfront cottage in an idyllic tropical setting and with modern conveniences, Blue Garden House is for you. Perfect for families, friends and couples.

Guestbook Comments
"What a great week we had in your wonderful house - riding bicycles into the village, kayaking in the lagoon and swimming at the beach. Thank you!"
- Katie Prochaska and Mike Bollinger (2006)

"Watching the sunset over the water from the verandah at the end of each day while sipping a margarita made with fresh limes from your garden - need we say more? It is paradise!" - Alex Cristy (2007)

"After 8 days it's hard to say goodbye to Blue Garden House and Placencia. The kids loved fishing from the dock at the house and we loved the peaceful location near the beach and village (and some of the best ice cream we have had anywhere)."
- Keith, Robin and the Sproule Gang (2007)

"We loved kayaking right from your dock into the lagoon. We saw a manatee really close (we called him "Manny"). We enjoyed eating in the village (DeTatch Restaurant was our favorite), the snorkeling and swimming was fantastic and we had fun watching movies from your DVD collection. In all, a great vacation. We'll be back!" - The Carley Family (2007)

"It was tranquil, beautiful, comfortable and just what we wanted - time to kick back and relax in a tropical village. " - Meredith Kennedy (2007)
